Any comments on the new game - Brain Challenge?
Looks like a bit of a steal from the DS. Has anyone played it yet?

Now this is strange -- it has disappeared from games. So I guess somehow it got into my itunes early.
So here's the prediction - the next game for the 5G nanos will be "Brain Challenge"

I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Is it just released today? Cuz I always check back in iTunes.

I was able to buy it, but then it disappeared, it seems like a really well programmed game, I wonder why they got rid of it from the Istore? So far I like it, and it seems to work well.

The game has been back in the store since Monday morning.
The review on iLounge say that it's great.

Especially "Balance" - you can never be certain which item you've actually selected, or the game is totally off the wall, suggesting for example that 2 little fish are heavier than 2 cats. The iLounge review mentions that, and says it "doesn't happen often", but it happens more often than not. Playing Devil's advocate, maybe I'm not doing something right. But I'm of reasonable intelligence, so I don't think so.
Also, any games that factor in reaction time are out of place on an iPod with a click wheel, which simply isn't a good input device for such things. I've had a 5th Gen and now a Classic, and it has been the same story. There's a constant tendency to overshoot the item you want to select, and the options in Brain Challenge that depend upon a light touch rather than a push are a major pain, because particularly when selecting the top object, there's a tendency to push, and the player is taken to the menu screen and prompted to quit or select or whatever.
$5 is always a reasonable price for these games, provided the game is well done. This one s-s-s-sucks!!!

Balance always gets me. I'm glad I'm not the only one confused by it because I was beginning to feel stupid.
Other than that, I really like Brain Challenge. Mosaic is my favorite.

Balance is tricky, but the key is not to identify the objects themselves, but to identify the relationship between them on the various scales.
The idea that "2 little fish are heavier than 2 cats" is really more of a red herring than anything else.... Don't worry about what the object is supposed to be, go with the relationships of the various scales to each other (ie, x is heaver than y, and y is heavier than z, therefore x is the heaviest).

My problem with Brain Challenge is that even though I have the color blind mode checked, it asks me where the green Ninja is. I can't tell any of the colors except the black one.
In Peggle with the color blind checked it highlights the items so I can tell one from another.
