does eq drains lots of battery

Does the eq on the 3rd gen ipod drains a lot of batteries.
What could i expect if i just let the player play and have the eq on instead of off.
In off mode i can expect 7 - 7 1/2 ive heard
but when the Eq is on?????

well i have my 30GB set to ROCK equalizer setting with the backlight on 2 sec. I seem to get approx 4-5 hours on a FULL charge...not great, but i mainly listen in my car due to long commutes to and fro work and i have a car charger...so it doesnt matter too much to me...I keep it charged in car most of time...but about 4-5 anyway...

I have mine constantly set to ROCK EQ, did a test and lasted jsut over 7 hours on continuos play, very little less that other people report without it.

I say the EQ is a requiremnent, the off setting doesnt do justice to the ipods potential quality.

equalizer does nothing justice, unless you are using really, really awful headphones.


Good headphones, and any EQ setting on IPOD sounds like monkeyballz.
