Hi, i have a 1.1.2 1c week 41 16gb touch, and noticed that sometimes, when using safari or you tube or whatching videos and put the ipod to sleep and wake right after, the screen comes back with a strong light glowing that is not the brigjtness- it seems to be a white light layer glowing over all the screen in any progrsms: music, video, safari... When you put it to sleep again it comes back normal. It happens only when safari is in use and when sleep/wake a bit fast.
It happens when you used the ipod for a while, and when watching a video or you tube or safari you put the ipod to sleep. If you wake it right after, the glow appears. If you put it to sleep again and wait like 5 seconds, the screen returns to normal. But if you fast press sleep/wake, the glows come back. And then, you have to put it to sleep for more 5 seconds to screen return to normal. If you are in the home screen, not playing music, and press sleep/wake in 1 second, this doesnīt happens, the screen comes back normal. So, i think itīs something related to the software...
Can someone please try to do this to see if this happens in all touches?
Ever happened it to yours? Is it normal?

For some reason, the iPod Touch doesn't seem to correctly set the brightness until you unlock it from sleep. But yes, it comes back on ultra-bright until I unlock...

yep Derek, to me happens even with the AUTOBRIGHT off, but only when we use the ipod a bit, when you turn it on first time of the day it doesnt happen. If you use by 10 minutes, this happens - even if you turn down the brightness and the auto bright, it is still too bright... This happens to yours too? Putting to sleep and waiting 3 to 5 secs it wakes normal. It comes back more than normal bright? Its before only when you unlock or even before unlock? Mine is even before unlocking. But put it to sleep again, it comes back normal.

This happens to me - only after it has been on a good long while - like one movie or after surfing web for awhile. If I put it to sleep for a few min it goes away... interesting that others have seen that as well.

Globe, EXACTLY THAT!!! After using the ipod for a while, when it is "warm"... Happy now cause iīm not the only one! - And thereīs nothing to do with the brightness settings, it seems that is the CONTRAST or something...
