iTouch sync problem [Archive]

I just got an iTouch on Black Friday and each time I try to download and type of video the iTouch times out when syncing. Anyone know a solution?

Things I'd try...

First restart iTunes.
Try a different USB port and or...
Use a different iPod USB cable if you have one.

I'd also suggest that you make sure you meet the minimum requirements - in particular, do you have USB 2.0 ports on your computer. Check the minimum requirements here - http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html

this is an issue many of us have seen. Does if copy some stuff then time out? If so unplug the iPod reconnect it to your pc then hit sync again.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried the different usb cord and ports, but to no success. I will have to check about the usb 2.0 ports, I do not know. I have had not problem sending over audio, only times out on video syncing. Thanks for everyone'e help and please let me know any other options.
