Okay, so I'm having problems where some of the songs will stop and the iPod will go on to the next track. I've determined that this is only on certain songs. So I ran ashampoo and had it check the mp3s on my iPod and sure enough, there are some corrupted mp3s.

Here's my question: Can I tell ashampoo to actually "fix" the mp3s and do all of this on the iPod itself? I mean, can I tell ashampoo to scan the mp3s on iPod's disk, and actually convert them? Or do I need to copy them to my PC first?

Ya, I think you can tell it to fix the mp3's right on the ipod.
Ive replaced mp3's right on the ipod with no problems.

like, ipod_control/f00/1033.mp3 with a new one. Works fine.

Thanks for the help. I went and "ashampooed" the corrupted files directly from the iPod. I played one of the corrupted mp3s and the iPod still stopped the corrupted (but now "ok") song and went on to the next one. :( Ah well.

Anyhoo, thanks for your help. :)

I would make sure you "ashampoo" the files on your HD as well as the iPod, since if you re-sync (and change files) or need to rebuild your iPod directory, that its replaced with a "ok" version of the file...

Just my 2 cents...
