Naming songs

I run itunes version 7.5 on an apple imac g5 with OS X. (dont know if that is relivant) and for some reason (and only with certain cds/songs/albums) it will spread the albums apart. ie. there will be 3albums of the same name and band, and in the first album there will be tracks 1 & 2 second album there might be tracks 3 to 9, and album number 3 might have 10 to 12 in there. its almost as if the band name or album name are spelt differently. how ever they're not. im having trouble fixing this.

does anybody no how to over come this???

In the Get Info dialogue, insure that all of these fields are exactly the same:
album name - make sure no spaces at the end, all capitalization is the same
album artist - either all the same or all empty
Track X of Y - make sure the value of Y is the same on all songs
Disc A of B - make sure A and B are the same on all songs (or empty)
Compilation Yes/No - make sure is set the same for all songs

And one more thing; if you bring up the Info panel for a number of songs and a certain field appear empty doesn't mean it IS empty. Only way to be sure is to check the box and save.
