i just noticed that little icon on the bottom right corner on the iSkin homepage
what do you guys think or hope the iSkin for ipod touch will be like
iSkin has always produced good products, so i have high expectations for this case
i hope the iskin for touch will follow the revo for iphone with the evo4 on the classic
or something like a hard case with a horizontal clip
what do you guys think?

There's an ad in iLounge's iPod Buyer's Guide that has a picture of it. Kind of looks like a rubberized iPod Touch, with black border and everything, but can't really tell much else. Knowing iSkin, it CAN'T just be a silicon skin and nothing else...or can it?

I have been waiting for this case and am a little dissappointed. I was hopeing for a hard front on it and a hard screen protector. I can't stand film... I am still thinking about getting it because the red looks real nice, But I'm afraid the case would loosen up and come off in my pocket.

I wish they had just a pure black one. None of the black and brown stuff... Do I want to make my touch look like a Zune? No.

So are these reputable for protecting iPods?

My last cover I used just scratched the heck out of my video, and I would really rather not have my Touch coated with scratches.

has anyone else noticed the position of the headphone cord on the main picture at the top of the gallery? The dudes headphones are plugged into the top middle of the touch, is this a new version?!? haha anyway I am going to get the black one it looks the best I think. But I do like iskin products but the evo 4 let me down hopefully this one won't.

I just ordered my black iSkin a few days ago. I remember one of my friends had one for his video iPod and I liked it, so I trust the company and their designs. I think it looks great without adding to much bulk.

Where are the reviews? I'm surprised iLounge hasn't reviewed it yet... Anyone have any pictures of it?

Please Do:D ! I am so curious to know how snug it fits to the iPod Touch. Last thing I want from a case is for it to come off in my pocket.. What color(s) did you get it in?

yeah it should be in the instructions. If it's the same clip as the evo3 you have to turn the little knobs to unlocked, and then it comes off. Then you can also remove the plastic back from the inside.

Ok, my iSkin came in a day early (I got the black/brown one, btw). So far I think it fits pretty snug. I had to stretch it quite a bit to get it on. The belt clip is also fairly sturdy. My favorite part is the included screen protector. This was my first attempt at installing any kind of protective film, and it installed quickly and easily. I had some air bubbles, but I could massage out most of them...and I peeled back a corner to get rid of the rest. It's really nice to use my iPod Touch without fingerprint smudges appearing instantly LOL. All in all I'm pleased with the iSkin, but the case seems a bit rushed. It just doesn't have the polished look of the evo3. For example, the screen cut out doesn't fit squarely at the top. Also, if you don't like dust, avoid getting the black/brown one. Mine is a dust magnet. I'm sure that I'm just being picky ;) All of my nitpicking aside, this is a good case. I may decide to get a showcase later, but for right now this fits my needs nicely. Oops! I forgot to mention how thin this case is. It adds very little bulk.

I'll get some pics for you tomorrow. Right now I'm charging up the battery...and it usually takes a while (the camera and battery are pretty old).

is the screen protector descent???

The screen protector seems ok to me. I've never bothered using one on my previous iPods or PDAs before, so I don't have any other experiences to compare it to. The finger print resistant feature is nice, and it does a good job of keeping most smudges away. The anti-glare part works pretty good too. The only thing that may be an issue for some is that it is not 100% clear. I can tell that there is something on the screen. It doesn't really impare viewing or cause any distortion, but the screen just doesn't seem as clear... if that makes any sense. The screen also isn't as smooth. With the protector on, the screen has a slight texture to it (it kinda feels like paper to me). Also, it doesn't cover the entire face of the iPod Touch...just the screen.

As I mentioned before, I'm not really qualified to say whether or not the screen protector is good, but I like it.

Anyone know of somewhere to get one in the UK? I've looked quite a bit this evening but the only places I can find have them for pre-order with no date or out of stock :(

Looks good - I think I'll go for the same when I can find one.

Is the belt clip removable?

Also, looks nice, but the thing's a lint/dust magnet. :x

That thing looks like it could attract a lot of lint & dust. I'll pass.

Yes on both counts. The clip is removable...and unfortunately, it is a dust magnet. Mine was loaded full of dust already when I opened the package. Using tape gets some of it off, but it comes back quickly. I can't be sure, but I don't think that iSkin used the anti-dust coating that was present on the evo3. I bought an evo3 for my dad a couple of months ago, and it is still dust free.

The dust/lint attraction is the one thing that really bothers me about the case. It fits good and seems like it offers a lot of protection, but the dust is really annoying and definitely ruins what could've been a good looking case. Hopefully, iSkin will do something to remedy this problem in future production batches.

Thanks so much for those pictures. That really did help me with my decision. I think I'll be going with the Speck Seethru.. As much as I like the look of the Red/Black iSkin, it looks kinda sloppy.

I was also considering the Seethru, but since I never had any problems with iSkin cases before, I chose the iSkin. What I have is fine for now, but I may get a different case later. It would probably be either the Seethru or the Contour Showcase. If you get the Speck Seethru, post some pics...I'd love to see some better pics of that case :)

I have the iSkin for my video iPod and would like one for my Touch 2G. The web site shows the iSkin but said it was for the 1G Touch. Does anyone know if they have a 2G version?

I looked at the Contour Showcase but the explanation and pictures have a little to be desired. I was wondering if when you close the case (wallet style) is the screen covered by a hard plastic, or some material? I would just like a hard case that I can open and do what I want to do and then close it for protection. If I can see through the case is beneficial for watching movies and not manipulating the icons.

I just saw a review on the Contour Showcase and can see better that the case (top) is open and does not cover and protect the screen. So that one is out for me. I'll keep looking.
