I have an 8 gig iPhone. If it gets within two feet of a set of speakers, it causes static. I use it in the car with a cassette adapter. Whenever it gets an email, incoming call, or even changing cells, it makes loud static to the point where it is almost unusable. At first I just accepted this. I know that Blackberries, and my old Razer, also make static. However, my daughter has a 4 gig iPhone. We've used her in my car, with the exact same setup, and it is as quiet as a mouse! Do you think my phone is defective, or that there is a difference between the 4 gig and 8 gig models, or could it just be random?
