I have the Belkin Media Reader and I cannot get it to import anything form the Lexar 1gig 40x. Belkin even replaced the unit and still the same problem. Whenever I connect the Belkin and insert the Lexar 1gig 40x card, the iPod alway displays no photos! There are files on the card.
I have an iPod 40gig unit with software version 2.1.
Has anyone heard of this and have a fix or suggestion, or do I have to sell it on ebay and buy some other system.
Thanks,
Bob

I don't have a Belkin Media Reader but is considering getting one. Have you try and see if the reader can see compactflash of smaller size? Maybe 1GB is too large for the Reader. Don't know, just speculating.

I tried the Kingston and the Belkin would not even reconize the card. I called Belkin
and they stated that the Kingston model(64mb - CF64) that I have is not supported, but the Lexar should work! Well there answer was to ship me a new unit(which they did in a timely, professional manner) but still the same problem. I even tried contacting Lexar, but there support is in India and I could not even understand what the guy was saying(as if that mattered because it was obvious he did not know anything about the issue).
I guess ebay the Belkin, and find another solution.

Just an update, Belkin finally admitted a compatiability problem with the Lexar Media 40x + cards. Apparently these are using different chips(faster read/write speeds) and the Belkin cannot reconize them, support did state that they might support them in a year.
So apparently between my last call and this one they did identify a problem.
Check out ebay for a good deal :)
Good Luck,
Bob

Hey, jackal98!
In the future I would stay away from Lexar products. Stick with Sandisk. A while back I bought an HP mini printer so I could just plug in my card and print 4X6s. Well it wouldn't work with my lexar card. In the end it was ok, I ended up buying the new Sandisk professional that is supposed to be even faster than the 40x Lexar. But to this day it won't use the Lexar. And Lexar wouldn't admit it until I by chance found a statement on their website later saying that it wasn't compatible.
Anyways, just my 2 cents!
Good luck!

Any chance you might be able to post the link from ebay or into the classifieds...I'd be interested in what you're putting it up for.
