i've just updated my missus iphone and its now locked!! help please..

hmmmmm..,... think ive just seriously done some damage to my missus new iphone, brother in law bought from the states but it was unlocked so she could use her orange sim in it, updated and installed new software and now the phone is locked saying insert valid sim, anyone know what i need to do, it wont connect to itunes now either...

very expensive paperweight otherwise...

I think they have a way to unbrick the phone and help you unlock it again.
