HELP! - Touch make iTunes freeze

Hey everyone,

so i have a 16 gig Touch from week 41. i use a Mac at home and a PC at work. i have no problems connecting the Touch to my Mac, but when i try to connect it to my PC at work, it freezes my iTunes.

i know the issue could be that the Touch was set up on my Mac at home and it might not be compatible with my PC as a result. honestly, i don't really want to format it for PC. there are some songs on my work machine that i would like to get on there and i know i can do that with my regular 5G 60 gig iPod, so in theory i should be able to do it with the Touch as well, correct?

has anyone else had this problem? if so, have you been able to fix it and how?

I am running Windows xp SP2 on a dell laptop and dell desktop with iTunes (the latest) and my ipod touch freezes up itunes on both machines. The other strange thing is that the iphone tab in prefs freezes up itunes as well. I have done the 5 R's and tried to install older versions of itunes with the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

Brand new Touch 8GB - new Dell Latitude laptop (D430) with Windows XP. When I install iTunes it seems fine, but as soon as I connect the Touch it freezes. Have tried every USB port and uninstalled completely and reinstalled at least 5 times.:shake:

Needed to uninstall component of Norton Anti-virus that is the "Network Threat Detection." Now it works fine. Apparantly this wasn't letting Apple Mobile whatever properly communicate with itunes.:)

if only i had norton on this computer and could solve it that easily... congrats to you though!
