Does Iskin make a cover for the itouch? I don't see one on their site?

No, you don't have to sign up for internet service. If you have internet at home you can pick up an inexpensive wireless router to access the internet. Outside the home you can find many free hotspors - go to Jiwire.com and click on their link to find free access points. I know Panera Bread has free service for example.
No idea on the iskin - I got an Invisible Shield myself.
In terms of games you can only add some right now if you jailbreak your iPod Touch (do a search if you don't know what jailbreaking is). Apple is opening it up to third party apps but not until February or so.

Also many public places (shopping malls) are now offering free wi-fi; take your Ipot with you, turn your Wi-Fi option on and it will tell you whenever a Wi-Fi network is available, you will only be able to sign on if Wi-Fi network is "unsecured".
There are literally thousands of NES ROM games which you can download off the Internet but you need to "Jailbreak" your Ipot to accept 3rd party applications
