I just installed a BSE skin on my 3G ipod nano and I couldn't be happier with it. I decided to use windex for solution this time around, since I've never liked my soap solutions on past BSE's. I bought windex with no ammonia, safe for plastics, and got to work.
The skin went on nearly flawlessly, the cut was exact, and the windex worked perfectly to allow the skin to slide enough without having too much soap or bubbles. The one caveat I really have to stress with putting a BSE/IS on properly is to really give the corners some time to dry before pressing them down. I waited about 45 minutes to an hour after I'd put the back on before I pressed them down and held them for about a minute, and they applied perfectly.
It's only been a few hours since I put it on, and it already looks awesome. There are no bubbles, liquid, or imperfections that I can see.
I will try and post up some pictures tomorrow when it's cured. Highly recommended, though.

I look forward to seeing some pictures. I ordered an IS a week ago and it hasn't even shipped yet, and I'm in the UK, so I've requested my order be cancelled. The BSE is cheaper and if it's as good, I'll order one of those instead.

Looks great. :)
I'm too late with cancelling my IS - it shipped today. I'm not upset; it's a bit more expensive than the BSE but you do get the guarantee and what have you.
How do you find the BSE around the screen? I've heard the screen is slightly recessed. I haven't taken my iPod out the box yet in case you're wondering why I'm asking; I'm waiting for my IS!

Yes, the screen is slightly recessed. I just made sure to squeegee the excess liquid out of that area and it laid down nicely. The skin kind of melts in, so there's no issue. I couldn't be happier with the look of the BSE on my nano. The one thing I did do was leave the click wheel exposed.

BSE = Best Skins Ever. It's a product that is nearly identical to the Invisible Shield at less than 1/3 the cost. The only difference is BSE requires you to make your own solution to apply the skin - either of a drop of liquid soap and water, or in my case, windex. Invisible Shield comes with a tiny spray bottle of pre-made solution. It's really up to you which one you decide to get. They look and protect exactly the same. I highly recommend BSE. Awesome price and great, great customer service.

I don't think anyone knows for sure that they are identical products, but it's certainly possible. ;)
