Touch and Wi Fi Set Up

I finally got my network set up. My network shows my Ipod Touch as being connected, I also have signed on my network with the Touch, but when I try to surf it takes forever to do anything and then I get the message Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. Can someone give me some help? I don't know if there are any other settings I need to change.

Do you have problems surfing from your computer?

No everything works fine, the network shows all connections, etc. The Touch also shows it's conected. It just doesn't sem to be able to surf.

what ip address is your touch getting? If it starts with 169 then the encryption probably isn't right.

I would guess it is your wifi signal. Do you have problems surfing over wifi with other computers/devices? Do you have a 2.4 GHz wireless phone or other 2.4 GHz wireless device.

If your answer to either of these questions is "yes", you may want to go into your wireless router and try a different channel (preferably low or high... not in the middle).

Thanks for all your rersponses. My ISP is the problem, I'm working with them to get the right configuration for my router. If I don't get any help from them I'll let you know. Thanks again for all the help, these boards are full of knowledgable people.
