Hi all.

I can't find a way to play ALL a specific artist's songs by album.

For example, I go to my artists, select ARTIST A, a list of 5 albums comes up. From here I can't play all those albums, in the correct track order for each album, i.e., there is no PLAY button on this screen.

On my older iPods and Nano, I could select the artists name, ARTIST A, then hit play, and it would play the songs from ARTIST A, album 1, track 1, 2, 3.. etc, then go on to album 2, track 1, 2, 3..

On my iPhone, when I select ARTIST A, and get my list of albums, I get an item called 'All Songs', but when I click it, it shows all the songs from those albums in alphabetical order.

Is there a way to:
a) hit PLAY in the screen showing the list of albums? (hopefully this will work the same as older ipods), or

b) sort the 'All Songs' screen by album?

I'm using an iPhone with firmware 1.1.1, and I assume it's the same interface as an iPod Touch, which is why I've posted it in this forum (is there an iPhone forum?)

Thanks in advance people
Bart

what are you calling a TOOL?

Sorry, I meant TOOL, as in the artist called TOOL. I've amended the post to say "Artist A".
Thanks for the pick up...

Can't do it, sorry. You'll have to use playlists instead until it's done in a firmware update.

Yeah, I thought as much... frustrating to move from years of organising/listening to tracks one way, to another way. Thanks for the confirmation...

Also, what's up with not being able to manually add tracks to the iPhone, like you can in an iPod?

Lack of disk mode means no manual managing.

But the Touch lacks disk mode and you can manually manage your music.

Well, I guess there's no reason then, other than it's a pointless feature.
