Before, to add music to my iPod Touch I would just add songs to my library and press the sync button on iTunes and the music would transfer, now, nothing happens when I press the sync button, even though I added songs to my library, the only way for me to add music to my ipod is by dragging the songs to the ipod picture on the left.
Help?

Click on the iPod and check to see if you are on manually manage songs and playlists. You want to change from that to something like "sync selected playlists" and choose a number of playlists that you will put songs into to automatically sync.

I dont want an automatic sync, I want it so that when I add songs to my library, it transfers over after I hit the sync button. Thats how it used to be for me.

iTunes is not made to work in this way.
There are three "sync" options.
Two are automatic, one is manual.
When it comes to either sync all songs and playlists or sync selected playlists only, on connect anything under these areas will automatically sync to the iPod. If you make changes while the iPod is still connected, you can hit the sync button to make the changes go.
The last option is manually update. You then have to drag and drop to the iPod.
So even though you THINK you did things the way you did, it was likely not doing exactly what you thought.
So I recommend connecting your iPod and looking at what settings you have set it to for iTunes and report back to us.
