Hi I just made an account because i need some help... I will probably be getting a Piel Frama case for my touch and i was wondering do i really need a screen protector? the screen is supposed to be virtually un-scratchable and i would rather not. also, is the PF case small enough to slip in a pocket?
WARNING OFF TOPIC :D
I know this is the wrong forum but could you bear with me here. what are some relatively good canal phones that cost almost nothing(the PF case will pretty much drain my moneyz.)

The PF case with iTouch should be only a bit larger than the Touch alone. A pocket that holds a wallet should hold it.
About the best screen protector I've used is the Boxwave ClearTouch Anti-Glare screen protector. You can buy 3-packs, but I've never used more than one on any device. Very tough. To me, no matter how hard the glass, an overlay is cheap insurance. One will cost you about $13.
If you want phones that sound better than Apple's standard ones, they won't cost almost nothing. I suggest you look at the reviews on this site for suggestions, and take a look at headphone.com, which has some fairly reliable ratings. Their cheapests one is fifty bucks, which gets 3.5 out of 5 rating.

Ok cool. also... how does the screen protector apply and will it detract from video/touch quality?

It's pretty invisible and made for touch navigation.

Don't believe all the virtually scratch proof hype - I've heard a couple people complain about actually scratching their screens. Its not impossible so protection is a good idea.

Do some Google searching for "PDA screen protector reviews". The same companies generally use the same materials for various products, so the reviews will give you some guidance. I remember, for example, that Boxwave regularly came out on top and Fellowes on the bottom.
The good ones are fairly easy to apply, reapply, work the bubbles out of, and they don't leave any residue behind.

While I'll agree that erring on the side of caution is always a reasonable course of action, I do think that the relative unlikeliness of the screen being scratched while in a case similar to the one PF is offering might make some folks (especially those of us without a steady hand) a bit resistant to the screen protectors out there.
That being said, I still think I'll wind up trying to apply one. Seems well worth the risk from what others have said.

RJT, I'm the world's worst klutz, and I've managed. Thing is, after you've sort of applied it, you smooth the bubbles out with a playing card or similar cardboard. So you don't have to be very accurate at any point. If you're really off, you peel it off and try again...as many times as necessary. That doesn't harm it at all.
Also, there are very clear instructions packaged with it.

i lied not my last question :P should i get a skin for the back to even if i'm getting a case? and has anyone heard a review on the new DLO folio

If that DLO is the one I'm thinking of, the review on this site called it a step above disposable in quality.
If you leave the Pod in the leather case, you shouldn't need a skin on back. If you alternate between case and caseless use, you might want one.

The DLO Folio one is okay - decent fit and decent quality for the money.
I bought one to get me by until my Piel Frama arrives.
The main thing I do not like about the DLO case is the belt clip - one of those types that constantly slide off my belt, leather covered metal with not much tension to it.
I would prefer this style case with NO belt clip - but DLO does not make it without the clip.
They have showing up at Best Buy stores in the last week or so.
IMHO - If you don't want to spend the big bucks on high quality custom leather, (PF or Vaja) and don't mind a this type of belt clip, this case is do just fine.

It fits very snug - a nice fit actually. I think you will like it.
I would just live with the belt clip, it's not "THAT BAD" - I don't think it is worth the effort to cut it off.
Good luck with it.
