If Apple Would Add This in a Firmware Update

It would be awesome if Apple added these features in a firmware update:

1. When you are sliding through your music, some song names do not fit on the screen. So when you have your finger on the name of a song, slide left to see the rest of the name of the song.

2. When a song is playing and you touch it, normally more options come up; for example to shuffle, repeat and the length of the song. In a firmware update, they should add a "more options" button. Once you touch the cover art while listening to a song, an option that comes up says, "more options" Once you select that option, it will take you to a white screen, and there should be options like one that says, "more from this artist" and then if you select it, it will take you to a list with all albums and songs of that artist. Another option should say, "Lyrics" Then if you select it, you can see the lyrics to that song. Then another option that says, "Use This Album Artwork As Wallpaper" Then you can use it as a wallpaper. And another option that says, "delete this song"



These things would make the iPod touch even more awesome.

I hate the fact that some song names are so long and I have remixes of the same song, and I can't see the whole name of the song because the name is so long. That makes me have to randomly select a song, and hope I get the version that I want. So I want to be able to move your finger along the song name to see the whole name of the song.

I hate also how the touch lacks lyrics support, unlike the rest of the iPods. I want to see my lyrics.

What do you guys think of this?

-Options to dim iPod after 'x' amount of seconds or minutes.

I think the only real annoyances I have so far are with the music side of the iPod Touch. Not being able to see how far you are (timeline) into a track and not being able to scroll/fast forward is a GIANT pain in the a$$ for Audible books.

You can see how far you are into a track...touch once on the artwork and the scrubber will come up with how far you are in to the track, and remaining time. You can also drag the scrubber to different parts of the track. The other way to scroll/fast forward is to hold down the forward >> and the track will speed up.

You can do that already.

Based on that, though. I would much rather the volume level at the bottom be replaced with the scrubber, or at least have the choice to. I don't like having to tap the artwork to be able to see the time remaining and trackcount which covers up part of the artwork. I have no need to see the volume level at all times.

I would like the ability to see lyrics. I would like to be able to play all tracks from an artist in album/track order instead of alphabetically, or at least have the choice to.

I would like to see video playlists added and have smart playlists work correctly.

I would like to see an option to disable coverflow, and to add more functionality to coverflow for navigation. And showing the correct artwork in coverflow at all times while music is playing.

I would like to see the option to show comments on photos.

Toddy71, thanks for the tip! I have always tapped twice and got the chapter listing. Guess I never realized there was another single tap to get the timeline once you have the volume scrubber visible!
