The (New) Pepsi/iTunes Giveaway Thread

Our Pepsi iTunes code giveaway thread was lost in "The Incident," so I'll bring it back to life.

Here are the rules:

1) Watch this thread. ANYONE is free to post an *unused* winning code, if they would like to share. So far, Moderator "AaronS" has generously provided most of them.

2) If you see one, attempt to enter it into the iTunes Music Store. They go VERY quickly.

3) If you redeem a code, post a reply and tell us so. If you'd like to share which song you purchased, that'd be fun, too!

4) After a moderator sees that a code has been redeemed, it will be destroyed. (Ex. ASL42***IJ) This is just to save you the effort of "freaking out" and trying a code, when it's no use. :D

5) Keep discussion and chatter to a reasonable minimum... this is primarily a contest thread.

Once again... AaronS has been the main benefactor of this thread, but ALL are welcome to contribute codes if they so wish.

*EDIT* Someone posted in the iTunes pepsi forum about their post #'s that they lost because of the crash, and my reply was to that post. The moderators redirected the posts made by that person.

I think we do, because it wouldn't let me get my code (which I didn't get lol) until I "registered" my AOL account or put in my Apple Store account... luckily I already have an Apple account.

No Doug, I did it without a credit card. They ask you to create an itms account, which I did via AOL and not Apple ID. Then they ask for postal address and email. I used my cousin's address and my email. No probs whatsoever.

IpoD15, if I remember correctly, you had a few more posts before the database crash, meaning you should already have noticed how to edit your posts and NOT post one-liners after the other like that. Please avoid it in future, otherwise snippety snip :)

You need to type the Url and surround it with these: (img) (/img)
Type those two brackets the first at the beginning of the url and the second at the end of it.

P.S. Remember to replace the curved brackets I have there with square ones.

If I remember correctly before you redeem the song they ask you to create an account by either AOL or Apple ID. The latter didn't work for me. I typed in my AOL nickname and password and the next window asked me to a create an account. There is credit card info here but I didn't fill out that part. Just put in an address and a phone number and it will work.

Hey Aaron,
I lost today twice so no codes for anybody today.

I hope to have some tomorrow though. There are a bunch of construction workers working on our part of the office and none of them care about the promotion. To those of you who don't know. I posted a couple of caps in the other thread that was deleted and nobody fessed up. It really sucked because I was being nice and nobody had the courtesy to even respond to what they had. Thus, they kindof ruined my experience of it.

So, instead of being a tightwad, I tried a new approach. This way it'll strum up conversations, spread cheer, etc instead of just getting a gimme attitude.



Only requirements I have:

1) Post a message saying what song you downloaded.
2) Tell your friends about the forum
3) should you come across outstanding fortune, remember me in your will.
4) Try and do something nice for somebody today
5) Visit a sponsor from a banner on the forum site. (Buy Pepsi too)

Why does iTunes make you get the music in AAC format?! Is that even readable on cd players (my sister wants to know)? I don't mind listening to it on my computer and iPod, but I think it's kinda weird that they didn't even give that option to get it in mp3...

It was either PM or 'be the next person to post'. I went with PM since if there was a flood, I could delete from my inbox more easily than deleting a bunch of posts.

My theory is that when you post the code in the open, non-members are grabbing it. We always have way more guests on the boards than members, so its probably best to keep the codes going through PMs.

No: One of the ways to do it is post a code, and whoever enters it on iTunes first wins the code. :)... The only problem with that way is guests steal them and then don't post what song they got.

Hey guys! I'm fairly new to this site and new to the iPod family...but I am a youth pastor and I have a student that works at a local grocery store. He works back in the recycle bins for plastic and he's given me about 25 winning caps!!! I'll be posting some on these boards and using some myself. He brings me that much just about every week.
