photos transferred from iphone end get misoriented?

So I assume everyone has the problem where your pictures taken with the iphone in vertical position end up turned 90 degrees when transferred to your PC? For every picture taken I have to re-orient the picture then save. Anybody know if there is a way to fix this?

hmm, I wonder what the deal is then. What software (if any) do you use? I just copy + paste using explorer.

I use iPhoto to import from the phone. You should try using a photo program to import. Explorer is too dumb to read orientation exif data.

You don't have to use iPhoto, just try any PC photo management/editing software to import the photos.
