Just bought a 15GB iPod. I have songs with foreign characters (ie chinese). I'm planning to get xplay plus updating it with the latest release.

My 'newbie' question is that would I need any tagging editor to ensure the characters sync everything correctly?

Thanks

to me ,the MMJB 7.1 come with ipod is the only one software which can display correct chinese characters. you can try it

Right now I'm listening to Si Qin Ge Ri Le and the characters are displayed correctly on the iPod with xPlat. They aren't yet in the database, but since I rarely use it I really don't care. Oh, and since I'm in the US I had to install CJK.

BTW I used to use MMJB but it takes way too much control of the iPod so I had to remove it completely.

Xplay works perfect for me with all those Chinese and Japanese characters. I've try Ephpod before, all my Chinese and Japanese songs disappeared, only English songs left.
So I think Xplay is quite good for supporting foreign langauge. Don't worry!:)
