Now there are two leather cases at about the same price. At first I really liked the Noreve, but now that I compare: the "hinge" at the bottom is made from two small strips of leather that I think could get stressed over time. The PF is hinged at the top, full width of the case, so I think it's more durable long-term.
What do you folks think?
I think I'm going with Piel Frama myself - I too think the leather at the bottom of the Noreve looks susceptible to wear, and I don't think I really care to wait any longer for Vaja

Looks like if you want something fairly substantial and impressive, 60 bucks is what you have to pay.
Have you found any options other than these two that are shipping in the relatively near future?
And I guess on further inspection, I really am in a toss up of Noreve or Piel Frama.... there are a few Noreve options that look nice.

There are the Fortte cases I've mentioned here before.. half the cost, and good quality but not great. They have one that opens like a book, side instead of top, if that's of interest.
Griffin's Elan didn't get a great review on this site, but it should be out in the next week or so.
In a way, I'm glad there's nothing to tempt me into a Vaja purchase this time. In comparison, $60 seems almost reasonable.
Alright, I'm officially confused - they have this picture:

For this case: http://www.noreve.com/brand/Apple/product/Housse_cuir_Apple_iPod_Touch_Tradition.html
But it's clearly an iphone in the picture... so I'm a bit confused, because if this actually what the vintage touch case looks like, I think I'm sold on Noreve.
Well, I'm an idiot - that's just to display what the "vintage black" color looks like, and not the actual shape of the case.
I think I'm back to leaning towards Piel Frama.

That's too bad. If it were the one in your photo, it would be in the running. Of course, I don't see how you'd get to the ports on that one, either. Cut holes in it?
