I have a strange issue I need help with please. One of the web pages I use often on my iPhone has become unavailble to me with the following message:

Safari can't open the page because too many redirects occured.

I know the site is functional as I use it on my work and home PCs too.

What I have tried.

* I deleted the bookmark and added it again thinking this may be the issue but it was not.

* I re-set the factory settings and synced with my PC and the link still does not work.

What am I missing? What else can I do?

I'm not sure if I can answer your question, but perhaps I can put you on the right track. I used to receive this from a forum that I would visit, only with FireFox. There is something the site is doing that is wrong. IE can usually get around it, but FireFox and Safari are more "pristine" in their implementation of certain things (and more secure... they don't let some things go).

Your only solution may be to contact the site provider and see if they have made any code changes recently that are doing endless redirects. It could be something such as a log-in check is redirecting constantly and they only checked the site in IE.

Have you tried a desktop version of Safari? If it fails there too, you may contact the site and tell them to try it in Safari so they can see it for themselves.
