View Full Version : Bit of a silly question... (Mix and Match Cases)

... I didn't notice anything about this in the iClear / iReflect reviews for the touch cases.
Say that I had a bit of extra money, and bought both cases. Now then, if I wanted for instance, to use the Clear front of the iClear, and the Black backing of the iReflect... can you mix and match? They seem to be fairly similar to one another, so I see no reason you couldn't...
Did anybody think to test this out?

I haven't tried it, but I'm interested too. I'd much rather have the rubberized back instead of the frosted. For the front, I'd definitely like the clear.

Why not send an email to Griffin?

Why not send an email to Griffin?
Actually, that's a good idea. *Rushes off to Yahoo Mail*
Edit: All right, the email has been sent. We'll see what happens.

For anybody that's interested, I heard back today from Griffin. Here's the email that I sent to them...

Product:
iClear for iPod touch
Question:
Hello! I have a quick question about two of your upcoming cases for
iPod touch, the iClear and the Reflect.
From the pictures I've seen showing up online, the two products seems
to be built more or less the same. My question, if I bought both
cases, would the fronts and backs be interchangable?
Say I wanted my iPod touch to appear all black, could I use the Clear
(transparent) front of the iClear with the Black backing of the
Reflect?
And here's their response...
Hello banballow,
That will most likely be the case, but unfortunately, I won't be able
to say for sure until we get those cases in stock. Check back with us
around the middle of November and we should be able to tell you
something for certain.

So, nothing concrete yet, but it looks promising.

As the Magic 8 Ball used to say, "Answer hazy. Try again later."
