Do you take it out of the case while charging or leave it in?

I suggest you take your iPod out of _any_ case while charging. Whilst it does not heat up too much when just charging, if you use the iPod dock and your transfering songs or whatever you should definately take it out of the sleeve. Whenever the iPod's hard drive spins it generates a lot of heat. In fact, Apple suggests you never charge with a case on... as it acts as an insulator to the metal backing (the metal backing is the whole unit's "heat sink" or rather it keeps it cool by dissapaiting heat.)

So yeah, I suggest taking the case off.

Ok, ill prolly take it out when it charges, i just dont want the screen to scratch when i slide it in and out of the case, because it does rub against the screen when i take it out

You should probably put a PDA screen protector over it then. That would solve all problems. :D

those PDA protectors are from $3-10$

it depends on how many shetts of protectors you are getting, and what size.

I am going to get some at Radio Shack today for my digital camera screen and my ipod screen.

I hear that sometimes there are air bubbles trapped under it, but you can just smooth them out

I've never taken my off to charge or to transfer files. I don't transfer files too often, but I do charge it every few days. Never seemed to be a problem to me and it doesnt' really get all that warm at all.
