Case Logic offers a generic case called the Pocket. It's available in 3 sizes—small, medium and large—and 10 different colors. It's made from a neoprene material. It has a ring that can be clipped to a bag or a belt loop. It also includes a lanyard.

The iPod touch will fit snuggly in the medium size and a little looser in the large. Retail price is $10, but I got one at Circuit City for about $5.50. It must've been on sale, as the sticker on the shelf said $7.99. They have them in the camera cases area. I also saw them at Best Buy with the cellphone cases.

Anyway, it's a great temporary (or maybe permanent) case for your iPod touch while you wait for the one you really want. A picture of mine is below. It's the medium size. I cut a hole where the play controls appear, that way I can quickly double-click the home button and press pause when I need to chat with someone at work.
