podcast starts over after i switch to music and back again

on my old video ipod if i listened to a podcast on my way to work and then music at lunchtime and went back to the podcast for the trip home, the podcast would start where i stopped. but on my touch it seems to go back to the beginning everytime i go back to it after listening to music which is incredibly annoying. does this happen to anyone else? is there a fix for this? thanks!!

I had this issue too. I found that if you selected the podcast in iTunes, you could get info and on the Options screen, there's a checkbox for continuing where you left off. You can also do it for a bunch of songs at once (there's a pull down at the bottom of the multi-item information screen). Not sure why this has changed, but it is annoying...

thanks for the reply. i tried it, but it didn't seem to work. it's fine if i go from podcast to podcast, but if i play music in between it resets.

I discovered the same thing this morning. I was listening to a podcast yesterday, then swithched to music last night. This morning when I went back to the podcast it started from the beginning.
