Has anyone here removed their invisible shield after the 24 hour period? Was it hard to take it off and did it screw up the touch sensitivity?

I removed mine about 2 days after the installation. It was not very hard to get off. It did not negatively effect my touch in any way.

After seeing a couple of videos on youtube, it looks really hard to remove and one video claims it screwed up his touch screen. Just wanna make sure. I'm probably gonna apply it only to the back first and leave the original film in the front.

It really wasn't that hard. It was like a really sticky band-aid.

I don't know why it was so hard for that guy to get his off. Mine was pretty easy to take off, and like I said, It did not damage the touch sensitivity.

How much solution did you spray on it when you applied it?

I used all of the spray.

You know on the touch screen where there tiny spaces between the sides and the actual screen and on the home button? Did any of the solution go in the cracks? How did you make it not go in?

I put little circle for the home button on first. I used a tiny bit of solution so it would not get into the cracks. If you are careful while applying it you should be fine.

I wouldn't trust that last video you linked us to as the guy was obviously not using his iPhone correctly and he sounded very groggy/intoxicated. Your are supposed to use the device with your fingers, not your fingertips. Using your fingertips makes the iPhone/iPod touch less responsive.
I used quite a bit of spray whenever I applied mine. I made sure that every area had an equal coating enough to keep the invisible shield afloat for a minute.

Can someone explain WHY you would want to remove the skin? You pay the money, wait for it in the mail, go through the install process, wait the 24 hours for it to harden. If it was installed correctly, it should be virtually transparent.
So if you don't use the invisible shield, what did you plan to use instead to protect the front and back (easiest to scratch) that you would consider more effective?

After installing my invisible shield I really did not like the feel of it. I prefer the glass over the invisible shield so I took it off. It just was not as smooth as the glass, some people like the shield better, It's just a personal preference. I kept the back on and plan to keep it on. I am not going to use anything else to protect my touch, right now I am using the slip case that came with my iPod video.

I think I am just gonna protect the back for now and leave the film that came with the touch.

Anybody know what that spray is for exactly? Does the spray turn into some kind of sticky residue or what?

I really have no answer on what that spray is for. I thought it was for cleaning.

Its either water or soap/water combination like BSE uses, I believe the soap is used to prevent water spots and finger prints.
The adhesive gets activated by the water.

Are you sure about adhesives activated by water? Or just your theory?
