Hi, I'm new to the form & new to ipods in general. I just bought my first ipod (waited to see what the new Zunes would look like). Anyway, now when I use my ipod sometimes the touch screen will become unresponsive. I can't slide the bar to unlock even though my music keeps playing. This mostly happens in my car when I'm running it through my AUX in.

My only solution to this point is to reboot the device :( Other than that I love my Ipod touch.

One other question... I buy all my songs through Itunes but I have 10 I loaded... how do I get coverart for these songs???? MP3 format.:D

Check the compatibility of the device you are using in your car wit the iPod touch.

My car (2007 FJ Cruiser) has an auxillary input for ipod's. I'm using the Belkin cable I bought from the apple store. Any one else have freezing interface problems from time to time??

Never mind... I read this guide and now I'm good. I guess freezing is pretty common with the ipod touch :(

Its happened to me 5-6 times, I'm going to the Apple Store tonight to try to exchange it.

I wouldn't say its "normal" - I think I've reset mine once since I've had it (about two weeks). If yours is requiring lots of resets, I'd definitely try to get it exchanged.

Sooo the Apple Genius says my Ipod Touch freezes up because I have Limewire on my computer. Even if none of the content on the Ipod is from Limewire, supposedly Limewire will still cause a problem, sounds pretty fishy to me but they wont let me exchange it and he said the only way to fix it is to format my computer completely and keep Limewire off of it.

Maybe I just want to believe what I want to believe, But I don't trust that answer. Unless someone on this forum can provide a valid reason for the freezing with limewire scenario, I am just going to assume the apple guy just wanted you to delete limewire and buy all of your songs on itunes.

You gotta remember that these "geniuses" at the Apple Stores are themselves just getting an opportunity to use these new devices and see what's going on with them. A lot of these geniuses probably have LESS exposure to the iPod Touch than most members of this forum.

The guy you spoke with was looking for anything he could latch onto as a reason that it could have problems or that he could get in trouble for exchanging. Clean off your playlists (because I'm guessing your Limewire playlist is how it found out) and talk to someone else. I think it should be common sense that if any product you have has illegal software (or software that COULD be used for illegal purposes) on it (e.g., Limewire, Bitttorrent, etc.), you should probably yank it before you try to get warranty service.

Actually he found out from just asking me:shake: . I answered quick and didnt realize I probably should have said no. I guess I'll have to try a different Apple Store.
