I know I'm all alone in this, but I couldn't find a case that I really liked. I needed one strictly for transportation, as I usually hold the thing when I'm using it. It was built to be held!
So I found this at a local camera shop. It's a Lowepro case designed to hold digital media cards. It's the perfect size for my iPod, and one of the inner pockets hold the earbuds. And it only cost $7.
I put a screen protector from my Palm Zire 71 over the screen to protect it from scuffs, and it works like a charm.
