I just received a Marware CEO Glove for my original (2nd generation) iPod. While I find the overall quality of the product (materials used) to be very pleasing, I am extemely disappointed with the poor fit. Granted, it is snug enough and does fit the iPod like a glove. Only problem is, the holes in the top of the case don't line up properly with the Firewire Port and Lock Switch. And, despite the fact that the Firewire Port and Lock Switch are exactly the same size, the holes in the CEO Glove are completely different sizes. The hole for the Lock Switch is larger, which doesn't make any sense because you would want the hole for the Firewire Port to be the larger one so you can flip open the little cover.

Further, the case doesn't seem to want to fit the front of the iPod very well either. The hole in the clear plastic sheet on the front does not line up properly with the scroll ring. The leather on the front left side is partially covering the left-most button and there is extra clear plastic to the right of the right-most button.

I have wrestled with the case, removing and reinserting the iPod several times. I am completely unable to get it all to line up properly.

What a royal pain in the butt to have to send this one back to Marware and wait for a replacement! I hope they will at least send me a replacement with a prepaid shipping label to return the old one.

In further disappointed news.... I ordered a Griffin PowerPod from Club Mac. Both Griffin's site AND Club Mac's site CLEARLY state that the PowerPod comes with a standard Firewire cable for the ORIGINAL iPod. Well, Griffin went and changed the product and are now including the cable for the new dock-connector iPods. Guess which one I got!

I've already contacted Griffin Technology and they were very apologetic about the mixup. They are sending me the correct (as "advertised") Firewire cable for no charge.

P.S. I just discovered that the earphone hole in the top of the Marware CEO Glove is too small too. It is big enough for the Apple-supplied earphone plug to slip into it but the Apple-supplied remote will not. The plug on the remote is larger and won't seat all the way down because the thickness of the leather prevents it from doing so.

I am VERY disappointed with Marware. My first product from them and, depending on how they handle this, possibly my last.

Talk about disappointed!!! I got a Marware CEO Classic about 3 weeks ago, and two of the three snaps have fallen off!

I emailed Marware Monday, and they have chosen not to get back to me.

How are they ever going to get a repeat customer with products and tactics like this!

I hope they monitor these forums, but somehow, I doubt it. Unless they come through with something for me soon, I'll never go near them again, and I'll continue to post my displeasure whenever the company is mentioned.
