Lately, each time new iPod cases are released, they offer fitted cases for the Nano or Classic, and a plain pouch for the Touch. I'm totally underwhelmed. Anybody can sew two panels of leather or cloth together. Is the Touch really such a challenge for case makers?
Plus, I can't find any specific release dates for Griffin, Belkin, etc. Sorry to vent, but it's kinda frustrating.

You'd think it'd be a simple matter of dumbing-down iPhone cases... making them a bit smaller and removing the holes for the speakers, camera, and mic.

I know. You'd think someone would have tried to grab some market share by now. Even Amazon doesn't have release dates, which is unusual.

I think the case manufacturers were truly surprised by the touch. I've been in contact with iSkin, and they're still saying "real soon now"

Why do you think they're all so unwilling to give a specific release date? Apple does it fairly accurately, and their products are a lot more complex.
