View Full Version : ipod touch + pants... where do i put everything?!

got the ipod touch and i absolutely love it!
the only dilemma that i have is that i want to keep the touch with me (in my pockets preferably)... but everytime i wrap the headphones around and just put it in my left front pocket, i always get scared that the screen my crack/get scratched... inevitably, i just seperate headphones from the ipod which isnt the best idea as the port will just get looser and looser with time.
for people who keep their ipod touch in their pockets, what do you guys do? do you guys just wrap your headphones and throw it in there?

I take the headphones off and leave it in my pocket by itself

Well seeing that you live in Toronto, this shouldn't be much of a problem....wear a jacket! Get one with an inside pocked that can be solely dedicated to holding your touch. I know jacket season just arrived this week here in the Soo, so it should be hit Toronto pretty soon if it hasn't already :)

You could also wait for iSkin to release their product which will presumably have a belt clip. Then you could clip your iPod to your belt (or a pocket or the waist line of your pants) and not worry about things like that. I always just clipped my 5G iPod to my pants then wrapped the hadphones around the unit and threw them in my backpack when I went to lecture. After lecture, I would take out my iPod and clip it back to my pants.

Forget the prissy belt clip - get a manly carabiner clip that you can use to climb mountains with :D

It's pretty impossible to scratch the screen, as evidenced by the attempts on Youtube. The back might be a different story, but that won't damage the functionaliy. I just leave it in my pocket wrapped by the headphones and have no problems.

Just leave the jack in the iPod and put the earpieces sticking out your pocket.

haha, its hate that glass on plastic sound everytime it hits the screen. sounds like somethings gonna give (esp. if i walk into something)
headphones outthe pocket... wont the headphones slip down?
