I have about 15-20 dead pixels and when I was watching a movie last night it was kind of noticeable. The date on my receipt says Oct. 12 so I was going to stop by the apple store and see about an exchange.
Anyone have any success exchanging for dead pixels?
In the upper right it looks like a cluster of dead pixels. It may even be dust under the screen.
I just don't want to go all the way to the store if some kid is going to tell me no.
Thanks

I had like 2 stuck pixels on my iPod touch but I ran the stuck pixel fixer video and it gave me like around 10 extra stuck pixels. I returned mine to Best Buy. They have the best return policy and the people there are friendly. The Geek Squad guy did my customer service and he understood the problem and gave me the money back. Even if its not a guy from Geek Squad I returned my PSP like 6 times to get a perfect one. From what I hear, Apple will charge you a restocking fee since you opened it. It also depends which one you go to. Try to be as friendly as possible and bribe them.

I had several stuck pixels. I returned my 1 week after I bought it to the Apple Store near me. They exchanged it, no questions asked. It was the store in Los Gatos, CA.

Good to hear you can actually exchange for dead pixels. I have a few on mine and may exchange it.

Well I just got back from the apple store.
Before I left I counted over 20 dead pixels with about 10 in one corner. It looked like a stream of dust. It is very noticeable when watching movies because of the black bars. I showed it to the girl at the desk and she said it was hard so see, but she saw what I was talking about. It was much harder to see in the store than at my house, I have to admit. Probably because of the lighting in the store.
Then she showed it to the manager who inspected it very closely. He asked why I didn't have it in cover and looked very disappointed when he saw all the scratches on the back.
He inspected the serial number, and all the edges to see if it had been dropped. He then said they don't have any replacements in the back so they couldn't exchange it. I said I want a new one and he said they were also out of new ones. He then said I could return it for a 10% fee. I told him since I just bought it a week ago and there was a fault with it doesn't that mean I should get all my money back. He thought about it and said he'll do me a favor. So at least I got my money back.
I will never shop at the apple store again:mad:
Now I miss my touch:o
I'm going to Costco tonight:D
