After much debate and thought sessions on these boards with my fellow loungers, I have come to some very real conclusions. Lajo is China based and iSkin is North American based. I want to keep the people who pay taxes in my country employed and contributing to our overall North American economy. Some of you may not care at all but when your kids cannot find jobs after University because of the strength of the Asian economy and lack of protectionism you will understand clearly. Support North American companies, it feeds our kids, provides clothes on our backs, and provides freedom in society. God Bless North America.............

I will support companies within the G7 as of this day??????

I seriously doubt that purchasing an iPod case from an asian company will steal jobs from our future generations. Anyways, Lajo will probably get the book thrown at him for patent/copyright infringement soon enough.

OK then Eros, are you seriousely saying u would buy from north america EVEN if there were cheaper products elsewhere? You have something seriousely wrong then? We dont want to start a " Oh lets all look after our our contry" debate do we, because you alone wont change that, people care about getting more for their money, than looking out fro their own country, nice thought; but when put into practice it sucks!

p.s. how would it provide freedom in society???

All I can say on this is competition is a foundation of capitalism, which is the foundation of our nation's economy. Competition doesn't have to just be within our country, it can be without. This is the macroequivalent of multiple countries within the same nation, only now it's multiple countries in different nations in the same world. If companies in any country are worried about losing strength to those in another country, they have no choice but to observe the other companies, see what it is that's working for them, and improvise to improve--and this is how it should be. If iSkin can't top Lajo, or the other way around, or whatever the case (no pun intended) may be, then they can settle for second best or collapse altogether...

It doesn't have to be businesses in China. I see companies like Walmart rotting our country from the inside out. They mostly employ people at low wages and offer no benefits. They squeeze each supplier so that we can have cheap stuff for everything. At the expense of jobs and livelihood. Be happy now that you have cheap stuff from there, but later when good jobs are mostly overseas or reduced to working under a big behemouth, that won't pay you squat for wages, don't say I didn't warn you.
