I want to get a Jam Jacket for my G3 20gig iPod. From the pictures I've seen and what I've read, this is the case that will protect it most from scratches while still allowing me to view it in its full beauty... The Exo2 looks like it would provide adequate protection, but I'm not as fond of the design as the straight-up non-detracting JJ.

Trouble is, I'm not sure where I should order it from. Someone here posted a link to a store in Hong Kong, which I was hesitant to use because it was overseas. Another post said that the site that had the people with the Jam Jackets hadn't announced yet when those for G3 would be available. I did a search online and found a couple other places which appeared to carry the Jam Jackets for the G3, and then I found places that stated they had Jam Jackets for the G1 and G2 iPods (which I thought were Groove Jackets.)

Anyone here who has ordered one of these, received it successfully and found it to be the item you wanted--where did you get it from? Thanks in advance.

I have the clear Jam Jacket and I love it. I got it from MicroCenter but I've also seen it at CompUSA and other stores. It seems to be readily available.

I have a clear jam jacket as well, and I got mine from the apple store.

Actually went down to an Apple Store in the mall tonight and found a clear Jam Jacket for the G3--unfortunately it was for the larger 40GB model. But one thing I did notice on it was the big DLO logo on the back or somesuch that I didn't see on the pictures from the Jam Jacket review here. Do yours also have this? Seems kind of like it would obstruct the Apple Logo and shine of the iPod...

There is such a logo on mine but I have the clear one so you can't even see the logo. It's not noticeable at all and it's not as big as it sounds, either.

I don't suppose you have pictures or could take any...? ;)

I looked at the Jam Jacket on Apple.com and it looks as if it doesn't have the tight fit the eXo2 does, it also doesn't look as sporty.

Wow, thanks for the pics, Monkedsel, that clears up a lot of my questions regarding the appearance of this on the iPod... I have just two more... Since the main purpose in buying this would be to view the iPod in all its beauty while protecting it, I assume that this item (when properly used) does not mar the front of it or the polished surface on the back? Does the back still look somewhat reflective even through the jacket?

Also, I assume that the iPod can't be plugged into the dock when encased in this item, but if it can be, feel free to correct me... Thanks again for the pics and info.

That looks like it fits better then the iSkin eXo2. The eXo2 isn't perfectly alligned everywhere, and the button holes are a little uneven in some places, it also looks like it's easier to get in and out of. With my iSkin it has to go through the screen.

My jam jacket gave marks on the back of my Ipod. Like smudges. :(

Hehe, I just used Windex on my iPod tonight because the back was smudged up. Then as soon as I got it super shiny I put it back in the eXo2 and now it's like a mirror under the blue.

Super cool

Guess my last questions are moot because I just placed an order for a JJ from Best Buy... No place around here had it and the Apple.com store was saying it would ship in 6-8 weeks (crazy!) I should have it by the 5th, and assuming I can ever get confirmation from Koss on the order of those KSC-35s, I should be in business... :) :) :)

I got my JJ at Best Buy last week and couldn't be happier with it.

Just to answer your question, the material is much too opaque to see the shiny ipod back through. It still looks good, just like the pictures posted, though.
