Are you serious? I saw a video on youtube with a guy scratching his touch with a pin, a key and a razor blade and none of them did any damage at all.

All you have to do is search the apple discussion forums to find out that the screen will indeed scratch. If you drop it on concrete, it's gonna scratch and probably break.

Post some pictures of the scratches, then I will believe you.

How could you possibly hope for your post to not be offensive? You just called the guy dumb.

The face is glass and glass can be scratched by anything that is harder than it is. On Moh's Scale of Hardness (Used by geologists), glass has a hardness of between 5.5 and 6. A normal knife blade has about the same hardness, so it won't scratch the glass. A key probably won't either. Quartz has a hardness of 7, so it will scratch glass. Sand is mainly quartz, so beware of the beach. Topaz (8), Ruby & Sapphire (9) and diamond (10) will also scratch glass, so don't carry your precious gems in the same pocket as your iPod Touch.

Probably way more than you ever wanted to know about scratching glass but....

They should make the next iPod touch screen out of diamonds then, it will never scratch!!
