Does anyone know if the Best Buy site is accurate when displaying if the store has iPod Touch in stock or not? I phoned a guy at Best Buy but he said the iPod Touch is sold out but when I check the website, it is in stock. For some reason, I don't believe this guy but I want to know before I drive 30 minutes down there.

Uhh... so then purchase it online and use in-store pickup.

No it's not accurate. Stocks get misplaced, mis-stacked all the time.

If it was accurate, it would tell you how many the store has and it's located at pallet E14C.

^^lol. Just drive out there. You only live once. Make yourself think you're going to buy a cd or something.

No its not entirely accurate. Usually for products that are first released, they will be inaccurate for example, the iPod touch was said to be in stock at my nearest best buy store, but after actually going to the store, they said that they never even received it EVER.

Best Buy opened at 10 today and when I got of class at 11, I called the guy and he said it was sold out.

Not 100% accurate - but that is how I know my local Best Buy had received a shipment. I think part of the reason is right now the shipments are tiny - I literally ran in when I saw it finally marked as "in stock" at my local BB. A few hours later I had to stop by for something else, and they had already sold out of the dozen or so they'd received. I wouldn't expect them to be able to keep them in stock for a while... Good luck!

like another poster said, order it online with store pickup. Then you'll know if it's really in stock or not.

i think its pretty accurate because ive been waitin for them to get the 16gb in and everytime i go in they won't have the 16 but only the 8 and i'll check the website to just see if its accurate and i will say the 8gb is in and the 16 is unavailible...

The first weekend, I caught them instock at a nearby BB, ordered it online, then had to go to the store and follow up. The guy at the desk INSISTED that they didn't have them and that they weren't even out yet. After I called the 800# somebody came out of the back with one. So, sometimes the online system is more accurate than the employees at the store.

I checked teh stock status online yesterday and found one near my house that said they had them in stock. I went there at 8:00 last night to pick up an iPod Touch, and an LCD TV. They only had the 8g on display, but when I asked they said that they had them. The blue shirt opened the case and there was 1 left in there. He said they had 16 in that morning, and I got the last one.

Good timing I guess.
