Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't been here in a while. ;)

I was wondering if any third-party has been successful in porting over iPhone's apps (Notes, Stocks, Google Maps, etc.) to the iPod touch. After all, they are running the exact same OS. If not, are Apple planning on adding these features anytime soon?

And just another little side question, I've heard a lot about poor screens with the touch. Is it even lower quality than the 5.5G iPod?

There are some people working on getting the iPhones apps to the touch. So far it has not worked, I don't know how long it will be until we will have a way to do it. I am not sure if it's lower quality than the 5.5G but after the firmware update the screens look great.

Judging by your sig, you have both a touch and 5.5G, right? Do you mind doing a quick comparison?

Oh yeah, and are there any differences to a touch from different countries? The reason I ask is because if I get one, I'll try and import because it's much cheaper.

Another little question, what is the REAL capacity of the 16gb? (Eg. how the 30gb iPod actually has about 27gb)

Really? Is that all? Wow, I guess OSX takes up a lot of space.
