I had an ipod mini since the day they were first released and, back in the day, apple supplied the chargers with all ipods (whoa). now, unfortunately, they dont. i just bought an ipod touch, and i was wondering if the firewire charger that came with my mini will charge my ipod touch without any adverse consequences? i know that the firewire chargers have a different output rating than the usb ones, which kind of uneases me, being that i am not particularly fluent with electrical ratings and whatnot. anyone know if i could do that?

Yes, it will charge I use my old firewire to charge my iPod touch all the time. It has not damage it yet.
