Does anyone else have a terrible compulsion to snap their iPod Touch. Not because of any negativity towards the device, but because its just so thin u want to test how strong it is...?

Calm down man. They make meds for this type of issue. Just be happy you already have yours.

Wow I have had the same compulsion...no i'm kidding.

Why don't you test it out and give us the results. Maybe you can put it under your car and drive over it, I mean they are made by apple...their indestructible :shake:

sadly, yes i've had this compulsion. Here's a tip though, create a fake ipod touch out of cardboard, then go mad and snap it in half. :) hope that helps lol.

Classic intrusive thought. Very common. Nothing to worry about.

You're apparently not alone... The people at blendtec decided they wanted to make an iPhone shake: http://www.willitblend.com/videos.aspx?type=unsafe&video=iphone.

It may not be the same device or action (shake instead of snap) but I think its down your alley, hehe...

I think its normal. I have a really thin candy bar phone which I have been tempted to snap like a twig on a few occasions.

I get this a lot with things that are clearly breakable if I apply a certain force. Just last night I was playing Zelda on my DS in bed and got to wondering how much force would be needed to snap the stylus. I tried gently bending it a couple of times to get a feel and decided not much would be required at all, and that it would be a very satisfying clean snap.

Had to stop myself.

Try it, and send it back to the store saying its defective.

Again...classic intrusive thoughts. Typically happens with something that we least want to harm...then comes the thought.

It is quite common for new moms to have violent thoughts towards their infants (the thoughts horrify them.) Not a problem..quite normal. Just ignore the thoughts.

Just go to the Apple store and make a quick snap when nobody is looking and quickly exit. ;)
