Hello iLounge.com
Just a little advice from you guys. I have bought 8 GB iPod Touch and it has been only a week I am using the ipod touch. I like it a lot and all the features are great. For example the WiFi and so on. And now I am having thoughts of changing my ipod touch to Ipod 80GB classic. The storge of ipod touch is too little in my opinion… 8 GB vs. 80 GB … Well it’s a big differences and yes I should of have got the 16 GB but in the way its going to cost you 432.00, might as well go buy iPhone. So any advices from you guys would be help. Do you think I should switch from 8GB ipod touch to 80GB new ipod classic?
Thanks :)

With all due respect...how can anyone answer this for you? Only you know what works for you. You know what the 80gig will give you...you have a Touch...it is purely your decision.

How much music and video do you have?

They can answer the question easily. Just your opinion. As in what would you do if you had the chance. Stay with the iPod touch or switch to ipod classic... if you lacking more storage.
Edit

I have about 1600 Songs....
and I have about 2-3 Gb of Videos.

Oh, then you definitely need the 80gb, nothing less. Take the touch back right now and get the classic.
Yep.

If you really want your entire collection with you, obviously the Classic is the answer.
But for me, I find anything from around 8GB to 30GB (I used to own a 5G 30GB) is the same, as my total music and video collection is much larger. Either way I run out of space at one point, and have to start removing stuff to put new stuff in. But 8GB is enough for almost 100 albums plus some video anyway, that's enough for me.
Obviously the new 6G starts at 80GB, so that is much larger. But then for me the main advantage of the space would personally be for more movies, but then the screen is much smaller.
It's not really a yes/no question, or at least the right answer will be different for different people. 16GB Touch would clearly be the best for me personally (vs. the Classic models), but I decided not to spend that much money.

I recommend getting the 16GB iPod touch if you are able to so since the storage is very nice. I have 1,700 songs which is close to 8GB, so I had to get the 16GB. I feel that the 80GB is not necessary, and if I had 2-3GB of video like you, I would much prefer to watch it on the touch over the 80GB. If you seriously have tons and tons of music, then get the classic. Otherwise, the 16GB would work best. Of course if you had to choose between 8GB touch or 80G classic, I'd inevitably choose the classic because 8gb is just not enough space.

Given that 8GB really isn't enough space for anything, I would go with the 80GB iPod classic. Then again, I have both a 160GB iPod classic and a 16GB iPod touch. I prefer the touch's UI, control scheme, wi-fi internet access, and screen. I prefer the iPod classic's better battery performance for both audio and video, its storage capacity, and it seems physically more stable than an iPod touch.
It all depends on how much music and video you want to carry around. If you want to carry around your entire collection then get the iPod classic. If you are fine with making playlists and only carrying around some of your audio/video then get the iPod touch. As others have said, we can voice all of our opinions but it doesn't matter. The one who will be using the unit everyday is you, not us.

Depends if you watch lots of videos or not. Personally, I only have like 300 of my favorite songs and I never put songs I don't listen to (I don't like adding a whole album). But if you're the type of person that likes to put full albums or likes lots of movies then go for the classic.

Why get an iphone if you still find that 8gb is not enough...lol It just ruins the point of you having 8gb and saying its not enough
