the cx300 i bought since almost a year ago on ebay, which might or might not be genuine, but anyway, has been subjected to wear and tear over prolonged use. as seen from the picture, the rubber thingy on one of the side has been detached and is now "moving" freely and easily along the cord and that is pretty irrritating. so the question is, how should i fix this problem, or should i just leave it alone. do i use superglue and try to glue the thing back, or would that actually harm the earphones so i should just probably leave them alone? thanks. this problem is really getting onto my nerves and i do not wish to pay for another set of earphones just because of mere wear and tear.

Those bits fell off mine ages ago... no problem with them being missing at all. Probably more comfortable without those bits if anything.

When they came loose i just picked away at the rubber and pulled all that bit off the cable.
