iSkin hack

For when iSkin comes out in a version for the 2nd generation iPod (It's not the third! The supposed "second" generation is not so, b/c the only design changes were very minor, and the scroll wheel changed. No new major functionality or look changes)...

I think that it would be cool if iSkin made a case that only exposes the headphone jack and hold switch, as now all controls are non-moving b/c they are touch-sensative. What is the possiblity of "hacking" an iSkin so that there is a piece of plastic to take the scratching of the wheel, butons, and screen, but they still function normally? I don't own an iSkin, b/c this is my first iPod (glad I didn't ask for one for christmas!), so i don't know how they feel.

If the makers of iSkin dont do this, Im sure others will. The fact that there are no longer any moving parts (apart from the hold switch) means that we're hopefully going to get some very creative cases!

First Generation

There is a size difference between the first and some second generation iPods and also Windows support was introduced. So it was a new model.

I actually e-mailed the c/s at iSkin asking when the new case for 3rd gen will come out, they replied back saying the cases are being developed and will come out ''soon.'' They didn't want to annouce to me when exactly thou. :(
