hey guys,

need some input on what colors to choose and overall input for this case.

I'm looking at Dark Blue with White stripe but also Black and White Stripe.

What do you guys think, more actual pictures for this case would help too!

Thanks!!!

I ordered a black with a red stripe. :D
Should be here soon, it was about a month in total.

Considering they are hand made to order, worth the wait imo

FYI, they just raised the prices of most of their touch cases by $10, so...for instance, if you thought the ivolution Top SP case for the touch was expensive at $70, it costs $80 now. This just happened within the last several days. They were $70 when I ordered on 11-26. They're $80 now.

I was going to order one for a friend for Christmas...it was a stretch at $70, but I won't do it for $80.

Thanks, vaja...

And you can say "it's worth it" all you want...I already own one for another mp3 player I have and it's nice, but I'm not sure how that would justify a $10 price increase on this case in about a week. Maybe they cannot keep up with demand and this is their way of reducing the demand.

well the iphone ivolution top sp was $80... a total of $101 shipped since i got the belt clip and shipping was $17. they're both pretty similar so i don't really see a reason to charge $10 less for a similar product. they are custom made luxury items so people will pay a premium for their products... even if they raise their prices. it was a pretty steep price for a case, especially since it's 1/4 the cost of my iphone, but i think it was worth the price. it looks beautiful!

I just ponied up the money for a birthday present to myself. I'm going with my email address on the back in the unlikely event that anyone would return it if I were to lose it. And going with dark blue for the main color, and a stripe of "forest"... It looked wonderful on the site... I hope reality doesn't disappoint.

Also, I went with having the clip on there. Is that going to be a PITA if I decide to just put it in my pocket from time to time?

Thanks,
Andy

Whaaat, the thread is only almost a year old. :) I thought I'd recycle anyway, so for those that have these type of cases, vaja especially, but even other brands that look like this, how do you like them? I'm thinking of splurging for a vaja for my 3G, I've always lusted after one and never got around to it, I'm just curious if you find the case, when in use, to be a hassle. Does the top fold all the way behind?

I just ordered an iVolution Stripes case for my iPhone 3G. I considered the other models but the base prices for most of those were already pretty high and I felt that the upcharge for the higher level of color customization was justified.

I wasn't too keen on the shipping charges, however. A previous poster mentioned a $17 shipping fee. I paid $20 for mine. It's only $3 more but considering how Vaja has continued to raise their prices, it's an unwelcome addition to an already hefty investment.

Right now I'm "settling" for some run-of-the-mill cases that I could find at my local AT&T store here in Brooklyn. Both are Incipio. It seemed to be the only brand the store carried. I got the Silicrylic first but soon pined for something similar to my Belkin Slim-Fit pouch that I had for my original iPhone so I got the ECO pouch a week later. It is very similar in design to the Belkin, corners exposed and all, but lacks the sturdy belt clip. I think both will tide me over just fine until I receive the Vaja (sometime early next month).

While their pricing trends have been controversial I have noticed that their build times have more than halved. Their previous build estimate was 45 days , the 30 and now it is 20 days. I have read favorable things about the shipping times with FedEx International but we shall see.
