A lot of the peeps over at headfi got their E500s from this guy, apparently he's very reliable, has sold about 100 sets over the last few months. I just purchased a set from him and will be selling my E4C over at headfi's forums.

These are the top rated $500 Shure E500/E530s.... for $259.99 shipped.

Dang, wish I had seen this thread a few days ago. I just ordered a pair of slightly used 530s for $300, which is still a pretty good deal, but $40 less for virtually the same item new would have been killer!

Ya, I can't wait to get these cans. iLounge gave them an unabashed "A" and every other writeup I've read on them has been overwhelmingly positive.

Also the push to hear feature, while a bit gimmicky, would be really nice to use when walking in busy urban areas (so you can flip it on and hear traffic at intersections) or on airplanes (so you don't have to pull the phones out to talk to the stewardess).

I am feeling just a bit guilty. I ordered a pair of E420's last week, when I received my order, lo and behold they sent E530PTH's. Ended up paying about the same as listed here for Ebay.
