Best IM program for iphone?

I just setup my iphone today so I'm trying to figure everything out. I really want a IM program for my Iphone. Can anyone recommend the best program available?

Also, is there a program that will change the keypad setup? I'm having the hardest time typing with that thing, lol.

I use meebo.com I find it to work just fine, I havent seen anything having to do with changing the keyboard on it thpugh maybe something with installer.app.

I appologize for the stupid question, but in order to use meebo.com do you have to unlock the phone??? I don't want to unlock it, but wouldn't mind using this site.

Unlock meaning what exactly? Activate your phone? Yes you must have your phone activated. If you mean some kind of hack to install something on your phone? Then no its just a plain over the Internet IM service

podio, thanks for the clarification. I realize once I get the iphone I have to activate it through itunes, but just wanted to know if I had to unlock the phone (which I don't want to do) in order to use meebo.com
