Are there any cases out there for the iPod Touch?
Definitely want to protect the investment... like all other iPods I have bought... :D

check www.sfbags.com. I've bought a lot of stuff from these folks and the quality is second to none. These are fairly basic in design but very good protection.

I went with this - Its on the way. Seemed really impressive. Then I add cases. I just want it to be safe in my pocket. I scratched my 80 gig ipod video real bad, just in jeans pockets. I went with the entire case kit not just the face.

Was in the Apple store today. The manager said next week AT THE EARLIEST. The store employees seemed a bit ticked that they had all this stock and no cases. They don't have any new nano cases either.
Seems a fairly serious oversight as each device purchase is a candidate for a case at a HUGE margin.

The cases will come soon enough anyway. Apple doesn't like product leaks to steal the thunder before Steve gets on stage, so its not like they can do a dog and pony show for all the accessory companies before the products are launched. I can see your argument too, but Apple generates a lot of PR and free marketing through their special events, and I think that outweighs some case sales in the first couple of weeks.
I any case, some bean counter has probably quantified every last bit of this to make sure Apple stockholders wring out every last penny per share. ;)

Is the Shield available at retail locations, or just via their website?
