Earphone too short. Solution?

I picked up a Creative earphone and to my dismay, I cannot put on the earphone on my iPod without crouching because the wire is too short for my 6 foot height. Is there such thing as extender? If there is I'd want one.

Most extenders are quite long. Radio Shack sells a 10' I believe. They are readily available I would think in varios sizes. Shure sells a 9" but it's a bit pricey. Just do a web search.
