Has anyone tried the Apple iPod Camera Connector (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=20538A8A&nplm=M9861G/B) with the iPhone?

not compatible as in, you read it's incompatible, or I've personally tried it and it doesn't work incompatible?

Apple announced it's not compatible, what more do you need?
The iPod Camera Connector requires free hard disk space on which to store the photos (that is, it requires your iPod to be set with "Disk Use Enabled", not just that there be room on the drive, which isn't possible on the iPhone).
